Optimization of digital control by successive approximations

Gorky
Abstract: A method of successive improvements is suggested for control of a digital process with an additive performance criterion. The method is shown to be monotone and convergent. In the case of a linear process with a quadratic performance criterion explicit expressions are found for approximation of a digital control in terms of the preceding one.
