Stable solution of the nonlinear filtering problem in discrete time

E. I. Shapiro

Moscow
Abstract: The problem of nonlinear fultering is solved approximately with a non-Gaussian model of observation errors that incorporates powerful additional noises which «contaminate» the observation channel. The stable solution is obtained from a Bayesian filtering algorithm and a Bayesian algorithm for classifying the observations in order to determine the time when the «contaminating» noise arrives.
