Moscow
Abstract: Delivery forecasting for a plant is considered under the following conditions: the plant receives goods of the same kind from several suppliers; the transportation duration varies widely; the supplier delivers in lots; the data on the total shipped by each supplier is available for all lots over a certain time interval; lots shipped within the same interval may arrive at different times. In the proposed forecasting method current information on arrival of lots is used as well as the statistics on the transportation duration. A computation example is given.
