Classification independence measure

A. A. Plotkin

Moscow
Abstract: Classifications of a certain set of objects are regarded as dependent if their classes either do not intersect or are embedded. Independence is uderstood as deflection from these two situations. A set of axioms is introduced that should be satisfied by the measure for quantitative estimate of the independence degree. A theorem on existence and uniqueness of such a measure is proven.
