Optimization of transitive binary questionnaires

A. Yu. Arzhenenko, B. N. Chugaev

Moscow
Abstract: In design of optimal binary questionnaires the concept of comparable questions is introduced for which an antisymmetrical and reflexive preference relation is obtained. A sufficient condition for transitivity of preference relations is obtained. For optimization of a class of questionnaires where this sufficient condition holds. The properties of such questionnaires are discussed which suggested an algorithm for their optimisation.
