Automated control systems

Signs of the coefficients in least squares model equations

V. V. Zenkov, Yu. M. Tsodikov

Moscow
Abstract: In designing a model for normative calculation and control a useful effect is obtained by ensiring coincidence of signs of the model coefficients with those of associated coefficients for correlation between the desired quantity and the arguments. The properties of coefficient signs and accuracy of models obtained by the method of least squares from some intermediate quantities are studied. These quantities are sums of arguments with different weights.
