Queuing Systems

On analysis of queueing networks with arbitrarily distributed parameters

L. A. Grinshpan

Minsk
Abstract: An approach is proposed to analysis of queueing networks with arbitrarily distributed parameters whereby a discrete-time semi-Markov process is taken up in whose state vector additional discrete-time variables are introduced. Unlike the method of additional continuous variables, the proposed approach reduces the system to a simpler system of integral Volterra equations which can be analyzed in a computer. Examples are provided.
