The Relation of Program Restoration Point Frequency and the Hardware Reliability Index

Abstract: The method of generating restoration points in application programs is analyzed which allows for the current value of the hardware fault rate in a fail-safe computer. The efficiency of the proposed and conventional methods is compared. The functions of operating systems of fail-safe computers should include monitoring the current hardware fault rate.
