Technical Diagnostics

Fail-safe redundant structures

E. S. Sogomonyan

Moscow
Abstract: Fail-safe structures are discussed which ensure continuous testing of the functioning of components such as devices and subsystems and automatic replacement of failed components by operational ones. The self-repair procedure makes use of the self-testing and complete pairwise comparison of output results. With built-in monitoring costa meeting the requirements to the completeness of diagnosing the structure is more reliable that the self-testing and hybrid majority structures.
