Empirical Bayesian estimates of failur-free operation as the data accumulates

V. P. Savchuk

Dnepropetrovsk
Abstract: Two empirical Bayesian procedures are proposed for estimating the probability of failure-free operation of hardware for various ways of representing the statistical a priori data. The failure-free operation time distribution function is assumed to be a member in the class of aging distributions. The credibility of estimation is studied in a computing experiment.
