Solution of classical optimal control problems with a boundary layer

S. V. Belokopytova, M. G. Dmitrievb

a Krasnoyarsk
b Ashgabat
Abstract: A natural way is developed of applying the boundary layer functions method to optimal control problems with fast and slow motions. In this approach the problem is directly decomposed into a sequence of lower-order variational problems. The relaxation and suboptimality of asymptotic approximations are proved.
