Queuing Systems

Approximation of synchronous data transmission systems with a small time cycle

Abstract: With a small time cycle asymptotic expansions are obtained of stationary responses of discrete-time queueing systems. For several specific systems simple approximate formulae are obtained for the probability of losing a call that provide sufficient accuracy.
