Queuing Systems

Determining the characteristics of the total amount of entries in single-line priority controlled queueing systems

O. M. Tikhonenko

Minsk
Abstract: The impact is studied on service disciplines which depend on the characteristics of the total flow in an $M/G/1/\infty$ system with an arbitrary dependence of the service time on the entry length and an infinite memory (or the potential for storing entiries whose total length may be as large as desired). For a relative priority system where the dependence of the service time on the entry length is arbitrary and the memory is infinite the characteristics of the total length of entries of every priority are determined.
