The probabilistic characteristic of computer throughput with reliability considerations

Abstract:
The Laplace — Stieltjes transform of the execution time distribution function for a job of a specified size and its mean value for a monitored restorable computer with due regard for reliability are determined. Computer functioning models are discussed which are different in organization of the monitoring system and the strategy of its vse assuming that the size of the problem and the restoration time are random and arbitrarily distributed quantities while the flow of failures and faults are Poisson.
