Deterministic Systems

Optimal control of systems which are described by a partial elliptical equation

Ya. M. Bershchanskii, M. V. Meerov

Moscow
Abstract: A range of optimization problems is considered where the plant is described by a linear partial elliptical equation. Such problems arise, for instance, in control of current oil recovery. Solution of the dual optimization problem is independent of the functional to be optimized and reduces essentially to solution of a certain nonlinear operator equation. A solution method where this feature is used is suggested.
