Yu. A. Dubov, Sh. S. Imel'baev, B. L. Shmul'yan

Moscow
Abstract: The paper describes the fundamentals of the method of local variations for solution of optimization problems in stochastic communication systems. For urban transportation system, which belong to this class, variations of population and work areas distribution and of the transportation network are analyzed. A n algorithm for optimization and choice of most preferable alternatives of population and work areas distribution in a city is proposed.
