A postulated class of models of a relational data base

V. A. Brudno

Abstract: Description of a relational model of a data base is formalized in terms of model theory. In addition to advantages offered in problem statement, this description cla rifies the role and nature of Boolean functions used in optimization of the description and design of the base and the access paths in request languages.
