Design of sliding modes with redundant dimension of the control vector

D. B. Izosimov, V. V. Kashkanov

Moscow, Tol'yatti
Abstract: Design of multidimensional sliding modes is considered in the case of the dimensionality of the vector of discontinuous control larger than that of discontinuity surfaces. A design procedure is suggested which makes use of the control redundancy for improving the functional performance of the system, namely, for reducing the number of control switchings in real sliding motion with a specified control accuracy.
