Optimization of scanning in systems for analysis of random poisson fields

V. I. Fedoseev

Moscow
Abstract: The paper is concerned with estimation of the constant parameter of a random Poisson field in scanning when at each time only a small fraction of the space is observable. For the case of a scalar parameter conditions are formulated and relations specified that dictate the scanning equation and the configuration of the scanning aperture with which the estimate variance is minimal. Possible ways of solution in the case of a vector-valued parameter are discussed.
