Automated control systems

Optimizing the dosage of a multi-component blend with a minimax performance criterion

R. G. Barsky, V. V. Ermakov

Moscow
Abstract: The paper is concerned with optimization of multi-component blending by batch dosers when the components are added sequentially and a random error is introduced in adding sequentially and a random error is introduced in adding each of them. A mathematical model is built and a technique is described whereby the weighers are controlled so as to minimize the deflection of the percentage of each component in the blend from the desired one.
