Stochastic Systems

On the structure of the algorithm for estimating the number of stimuli in simultaneous perception

L. M. Scherbanskiy

Kurgan
Abstract: The paper is concerned with two versions of units which perform an algorithm for estimating the number of stimuli in simultaneous perception. The units incorporate sensors, a set of random delays, and a multi-input OR gate. The probabilistic characteristics of credibility in estimating the number of incoming stimuli and the speed of units are determined. The algorithm performed by the units has characteristics similar to those of living sensory systems.
