Abstract: The paper is concerned with control systems having nonlinearities which are a gradient of a certain function. Assuming that the imaginary part of the transfer matrix function has a definite sign in at least one point the necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for dichotomy, global asymptotics, and instability on the whole of systems in some conventional classes of nonlinearities. Examples are given.
