On design of self-diagnosing digital systems

Abstract:
The paper is concerned with specifics of designing self-diagnosing digital systems. It is required to accumulate in one of operating modules the results of tests of system modules and to analyze these results to determine the sequential numbers of faulty models. The ratio is given of the number of faulty modules and of monitoring subsystems that is necessary for correct diagnosis. A procedure for design of self-diagnosing digital systems is provided.
