Deterministic Systems

Study of non-smooth dynamic systems by the source method

V. P. Zhukov

Moscow
Abstract: A refinement of the source method is considered for qualitative investigation of dynamic properties of processes that are described by a set of nonlinear common differential equations of an arbitrary order with a non-smooth right-hand side. Effective criteria are provided analogous with those formulated by the author for smooth systems. The study relies on relations which extend to the non-smooth case the Liouville formula for the rate of change of the phase volume and the formula for the rate of change of the phase space trace volume.
