Abstract: For general structure for diagnosing a multi-processor microcomputer the design principles of hardware and software tools of processor diagnosis are discussed. Self-testing encoding and decoding schemes are described for Hamming codes. Self-checking in-built control circuits for micro-computer self checking are studied. A diagnosis system for a multi-processor microcomputer is described. The principles underlying the design of diagnostic tools with the use of special-purpose self-checking LSIs are described.
