Automated control systems

Balance models for evaluating the state of chemical engineering systems

O. A. Aarna

Tallin
Abstract: The dynamic models of material and energy balance in chemical engineering systems evaluate the system state by using the time and space redundancy of data contained in the readings of technological variables. The observability and applicability of these models to indirect measurements are analysed. The system observability is shown to be related to the structure of its flowchart and distribution of measurement points. Some extensions of the dynamic balance models are given.
