On a model of plasma equilibrium in a tokamak

Abstract:
The model, a set of nonlinear ordinary high dimension differential equations which represent the equilibrium of the plasma cord in a tokamak is numerically approximated by two first-order differential equations in a limited region of the phase space, in compliance with a procedure for testing the original set of differential equations by single-step input signals. The iterative approximation procedure is shown to converge in functional metric spaces of input discontinuous signals and output continuous variable to a limit which specifies the approximation accuracy.
