Design of optimal control for a range of bilinear systems

Abstract:
It is required to move a bilinear system whose control is scalar and matrices commutative into the origin of coordinates in a speed-optimal way. The necessary optimality conditions are provided by using some newly introduced auxiliary functions. The sufficient optimality condition is proped for an arbitrary differential nesting. The sufficient optimality condition for bilinear systems is obtained as a corollary. Examples of design are provided.
