Adaptive Systems

Adaptive locally optimal control

M. M. Kogan, Yu. I. Neimark

Gor'kii
Abstract: The behavior of discrete-time linear dynamic processes is studied with locally optimal control equations which minimize the goal function increments along the system path. Under uncertainty these equations and an algorithm which adjusts the parameters of a general kind lead to adaptive control equations and the form of the goal function is specified with which unstable minimal- and nonminimal-phase processes are stabilized.
