Approximate decomposition of problems in input-output balance in MIS of continuous manufacturing processes

M. M. Barash

Moscow
Abstract: The input-output balancing in a MIS of continuous processes is formulated as a dynamic problem of estimating the costs and resource inventories from noisy measurements. If the flows in the process graph are measured accurately or are nearly continuous, the estimation problem is shown to decompose. The perturbation theory suggests conditions under which such decomposed estimate is suboptimal.
