Simulation of Behavior and Intelligence

On one approach то formalizing the forecasting process

Y. S. Gorelik, E. Ya. Ostrovski, A. A. Ursov

Moscow
Abstract: Forecasting problems are solved by ranked trial of a certain set of feasible solutions. A ranking technique minimizes the uncertainty in choosing the optimal solution. An algorithm is described whereby a set of solutions are obtained and ranked for the case when the states of objects described by a totality of binary features are to be forecast. An example from geological prospecting is provided.
