Situational control in service systems with an infinite buffer and controlled failures of service

Abstract: A situational control strategy is determined for customer service in a single channel semi-Markov service system with an infinite number of queueing stations and controlled service failures. Conditions are found under which the strategy asymptotically tends to the optimum with reduced time intervals between control actions.
