Abstract: For the case of real or complex-conjugate rightmost roots of the characteristic polynomials, sufficient conditions for optimality of the maximum-stability systems were proposed. The problem was solved for the cases where the behavior of the controlled plants in these systems obeys a transfer function with greater-than-zero polynomial in the numerator.
