Maximization of unit present profit in inventory management systems

Abstract: We consider a profit maximization model for a trading company taking into account the intensity of the sale of goods and the costs of purchase, delivery, storage and sale, as well as the possibility of alternative placement of free capital. We show that the profit function, depending on the period of delivery of the goods, has a single maximum point. We construct a model and develop algorithms for solving the profit maximization problem in multinomenclature systems with bounded floating capital.
