Abstract:
A Markovian model of wireless local-area network with IEEE 802.11 protocol was developed. It is applicable in the case of arbitrary – both normal and high –load and enables one to estimate the performance indices such as the mean time of packet servicing, mean time of its delay at the MAC level, and rejection probability, as well as to optimize the packet transmission mechanisms according to the intensity of their arrival and network configuration.
