Absolute stability of nonlinear control systems in critical cases. III

V. A. Yakubovich

Leningrad
Abstract: A general critical case of absolute stability of control systems with single discontinuous nonlinearity is investigated by means of the method of matrix inequalities. An absolute stability criterion is found which is sufficient and necessary, except certain boundary cases, for the existence of a Lyapounov function of the «quadratic form plus integral of the nonlinearity» kind. The possibilities of the method based on Lyapounov functions of the above kind are analyzed.
