On a class of dual control learning systems

Abstract:
The formulation and the solution of the problem of the optimum learning in a class of closed-loop systems are proposed. The learning is realized by means of the dual control which combines trial actions of a cognitive nature, produced on the plant by the control device, with directive ones bringing the plant to the required state.
A simple example illustrates the theory.
