Dissipativity of a nonresonant pendulum with ferromagnetic friction

Abstract:
The dissipativity of nonresonant pendulums with ferromagnetic friction is proved for sufficiently wide hysteresis loops, and a simple closed-form estimate is given. The absence of subharmonics of large amplitudes is proved for an arbitrarily narrow loop.
