On One Concept Design of the Scheme for Distermination (Estimation of Value) of Several Variables Function
M. S. Abramovich Moscow
Abstract:
It is suggested that for the distermination of the given function of $n$ variables (estimation of whether its value is smaller or greater than a fixed level, the disterminant) one should, instead of direct calculation, determine the location of a point representing the values of arguments in an $n$-dimensional space with respect to the disterminator, i. e. with respect to $(n-1)$-dimensional level hypersurface (corresponding to the disterminant) of the given function. The coincident or approximate disterminator can he formed by another function which is easier to reproduce.
On the basis of the above mentioned concept called the equidisterminator approximation, one can design simple passive gate circuits for distermination of monotonous (within the domain of estimation) functions of several variables. Examples are given.
