Markovian problems in the maintenance of aging systems (a survey)

E. Yu. Barzilovich, V. F. Voskoboev
Abstract: The main mathematical results of the research of complex systems having deteriorating structure are given. The assumption that the system equal discrete – time states form a Markovian chain with stationary transient probabilities is taken as the basis of most of the methods considered. It is pointed out that the problems formulated may be solved by means of the method of linear programming.
