Russian Mathematical Surveys

Russian Mathematical Surveys is the English translation of the Russian bimonthly journal Uspekhi Matematicheskikh Nauk, founded in 1936. The English language version is a cover-to-cover translation of all the material: that is, the survey articles, the Brief Communications, and the biographical material.

Until the last issue of 1997, Russian Mathematical Surveys was published jointly by the London Mathematical Society and the British Library. From 1998 to 2022 the journal was published by Turpion Ltd., on behalf of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the London Mathematical Society. Starting from 2022, the journal is published by the Steklov Mathematical Institute of RAS.

Since 2022 electronic access to the content is hosted by the Steklov Mathematical Institute of RAS. Free access dating from the first English translation volume is available at https://www.mathnet.ru/eng/umn.
