Existence of Linear Concatenated Binary Codes with Optimal Correcting Properties
È. L. Blokh, V. V. Zyablov
Abstract:
A concatenation encoding procedure in which the first- and second-stage codes are selected independently at random is discussed. It is shown that for certain constraints on the first-stage code transmission rate many of the concatenated codes so obtained have optimal correcting properties.
