Abstract:
The authors introduce a concept of the 2D angular radiation coefficient. A new proof is obtained for the formula of the Hottel's stretched strings method. Analytical calculation of the coefficient is possible only for some simple surfaces, which are located in certain orientation and position. Therefore, the authors determined the quadrature formula for the numerical approximation of the 2D angular radiation coefficient. It is verified by numerical experiments.
Keywords:
radiant heat transfer, irradiance coefficient (angular coefficient), quadrature formula.
